Audace Room
It's a vast room with a large double bed located on the fifth floor (elevator is present) with a bright, wide window overlooking a quiet internal courtyard.
The room has a private bathroom with window, shower and bidet. The room is also equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, towels, TV, hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo dispenser.
In the common entrance area a small and cozy kitchen is available, shared with one other room which will be at your disposition 24h. The kitchen is complete with refrigerator, induction cooking-top, microwave oven, pots, pans and accessories, a boiler thermos for an afternoon tea or a camomile tea before going to bed.
In the common area you’ll find brochures, booklets, maps and promotions along with a selection of tourist guides constantly updated.
Access to the room is possible 24/7 thanks to a innovative system of access control via Bluetooth: no keys to collect or deliver, no keys lost or forgotten. Everything is in your pocket with your smartphone (if you do not own one you will receive, as an alternative, temporary access codes that can be typed in on the keypad present at the room’s door).
Upon request or in case of need, the Audace room can host a third guest (a single bed will be added in place of a writing desk) and a small fee will be applied.

Some curiosities
Molo Audace
The names of the Al Garibaldino Rooms recall some historical representative locations in Trieste, one of which is Molo Audace, a small jewel that we suggest you to visit during your stay.
Molo Audace is located on the Rive di Trieste (Trieste’s banks), in the center of the city and a few steps from Piazza Unità and from Canal Grande. It separates the San Giorgio Basin from Porto Vecchio’s San Giusto Basin.
In the Audace Room you’ll find a large reproduction of an historical photograph taken in 1845.
A bit of history
In 1740 a ship named San Carlo sunk by the city’s banks. Instead of removing the wreck it was decided that it would become the foundation of a new pier which was built between 1743 and 1751 and was entitled to San Carlo.
The dock was s shorter than it is today, it was only 95 m long and was connected to the mainland by a small wooden bridge. In 1778 it was prolonged by 19 meters and in 1860-1861 by another 132 m reaching it’s actual length of 246 meters. The wooden bridge was eliminated, connecting the dock directly to the mainland.
Both passenger and commercial ships were docking at the Molo San Carlo bringing great movement of people and merchandise.
On the 3rd of November 1918, at the end of the first world war, the first Italian Military ship to enter Trieste’s port and dock at the Molo San Carlo, was the Destroyer named Audace, the anchor of which is exposed to this day at Faro della Vittoria.
As a recollection of this happening, in March 1922, the name of the pier was changed to Molo Audace. At the end of the dock a wind rose was erected, presenting an engraving at the center as a memento of the landing and a phrase on the side saying „Fusa nel bronzo nemico III novembre MCMXXV„. (molted on enemy bronze November 3rd, 1927). The rose, held by a whitestone column, was placed instead of a previous wind rose entirely made of stone. The date MCMIL (1949) refers to the restructuring of the column after it was damaged during the second world war.
In time, following the shift of the sea trades to other areas of the port, Molo Audace started to lose its commercial function and today ships passing by rarely dock. The Molo remains a site for walks, a runway to the sea of indubitable charm, that completes your steps from the Rive and Piazza Unità d’Italia.
